Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays

I hope everyone has their shopping done and is ready for Christmas. If you’re not done by now, you may be in trouble.

I found this little meme and thought I’d share it. Unfortunately, as many of you already know, I fall into the “Lost a loved one this year” category and am spending my first Christmas without my mother and best friend of 48 years. I pray that the rest of you aren’t dealing with something similar. But you know what they say - death and taxes, right? We cope as best we can.

In any case, one of my New Year’s resolutions will be to write more blog posts next year. Now that I’m completing my third novel and have learned a ton since I started, I intend to begin publishing tips and info for writers, along with updates on the progress of The Listra Chronicles, and whatever else I think might make sense to post. I just need to finish the third novel first.

Speaking of, just to give a little update, I’m over 90,000 words in and still on track to complete it by the end of the year - provided that it only runs to 100K. Unfortunately, my current estimate for this one is closer to 110K, so we’ll see how it goes. I might end up a week or so behind. But the ultimate goal, to have the first three in the series published no later than August 2022, still stands.
